Easy Access from Tokyo
Best access is via a 1.5 hour bullet train from Tokyo to Nagano station on the Hokuriku Shinkansen.
Then driving to the accommodation or catching the local train to Kurohime station via the Shinano Tetsudo Kita-Shinano Line for another 35 mins.
If you are coming by car, studless tyres (winter tyres) are a must . A vehicle with 4WD/AWD is also highly recommended.
